Crazymakers

The Artists Way talks about crazymakers. They're basically people who are pretty much narcissistic, self centred people who view themselves, ironically, as victims. They spend their lives in a secret bitterness, causing confusion and consternation in others. I had a recent experience with a crazymaker, whom I now want to avoid. The thing about them is that they're attractive in some ways, but are usually very selfish, are in a constant state of emotional turmoil, and are needing constant attention. They're interesting, in some ways, though. In short doses, anyway!

This is a short poem I found online about crazymakers...

you create storms,
enormously destructive,
out of control, life taking...emotional storms.

we; your supporting cast,
picking up our cues, entrances
and exists from your (crazy) whims.

shall i spoon-feed you
our life energies? how busy
you are, breaking deals and destroying schedules.

expecting special treatment
while discounting MY reality.
here...spend my time and money.

your expertise at placeing blame
anywhere/everywhere but on your own
doorstep. chaos serves your purpose well.

this tortured tango tune
is wearing thin as my own storm
spirals towards self-destruction.
