The burning
Echoes through the dying light
Shadows of a former life
A crystal moon falls to the floor
The princess cries for something more
Yesterday's forgotten shores
the beaches reach to ocean floor
Deepest love and love betrayed
The water's edge, the light, it fades.
Mysteries and firm beliefs
Broken hearts and awful grief
Nothing more and nothing less
Vacuum of the emptiness
Bitter sorrows, heartfelt rage
Living through a troubled age
Mercy's secrets, passion flows
Forgive forever, let it go.
Crashing through the walls of time
You seek a remedy in rhyme
Leaving biggest stones unturned
Watching as the forest burns
Your seething rage ignites a flame
Nothing's ever quite the same
Life is dark, death is black,
The pain is real, you don't look back.
