Akashic Records
A theosophical term referring to an universal filing system which records every occurring thought, word, and action. The records are impressed on a subtle substance called akasha (or Soniferous Ether). In Hindu mysticism this akasha is thought to be the primary principle of nature from which the other four natural principles, fire, air, earth, and water, are created. These five principles also represent the five senses of the human being.
Some indicate the akashic records are similar to a Cosmic or collective consciousness. The records have been referred to by different names including the Cosmic Mind, the Universal Mind, the collective unconscious, or the collective subconscious. Others think the akashic records make clairvoyance and psychic perception possible.
It is believed by some that the events recorded upon that akasha can be ascertained or read in certain states of consciousness. Such states of consciousness can be induced by certain stages of sleep, weakness, illness, drugs, and meditation so not only mystics but ordinary people can and do perceive the akashic records. Some mystics claim to be able to reanimate their contents like they were turning on a celestial television set. Yogis also believe that these records can be perceived in certain psychic states.
Certain persons in subconscious states do read the akashic records. An explanation for this phenomena is that the akashic records are the macrocosm of the individual subconscious mind. Both function similarly, they possess thoughts which are never forgotten. The collective subconscious gathers all thoughts from each subconscious mind which can be read by other subconscious minds.
An example of one who many claimed successfully read the akashic records is the late American mystic Edgar Cayce. Cayce did his readings in a sleep state or trance. Cayce's method was described by Dr. Wesley H. Ketchum who for several years used Cayce as an adjunct for his medical practice. "Cayce's subconscious...is in direct communication with all other subconscious minds, and is capable of interpreting through his objective mind and imparting impressions received to other objective minds, gathering in this way all knowledge possessed by endless millions of other subconscious minds." Apparently Cayce was interpreting the collective subconscious mind long before the psychiatrist C.J. Jung postulated his concept of the collective unconscious. A.G.H.

A Beautiful Mind

Dear Ken Adachi,
This is an email and sent to Joan (my wife) at work the morning after seeing the Russell Crowe movie "A Beautiful Mind" a biography of the mathematician Dr. John Nash.
Dear Joan,
In John Nash's Nobel Prize acceptance speech he says that searched through mathematics, physics, metaphysics...in quest for an original thought. I believe that his schizophrenia came about through his brute force approach to the metaphysical. He forced open the doors to the akashic.
Greydon Moore had the same drive, a single minded pursuit of the fountain of Universal Knowledge through entirely male intellect which ignored, rejected and ultimately brokedown the female substance principle. Greydon had the same thumb to the forehead with fingers grasping at thought mannerism which is peculiar to those who have invested so much consciousness into the intellect.
I also saw Moore fill many walls with charts and graphs attempting to synthesize Relativity with Gravity Theory which was what Einstein was attempting to do at Princeton, Nash's doctoral school. Einstein stole Relativity from the akashic in 1905 psychically using his Serbian girl friend as a go-between. The theory which became his doctoral thesis came from the female as shown in the movie. His atrocious pick-up lines in the bar indicate what he was doing to his own inner female. He had no patience. It was his wife who held him together when his schizophrenia got worse.
The Princeton School of Advance Study contributed heavily to the Manhattan Project and the mental cesspool around those brick buildings must really stink. I felt no attraction to ever visit that campus.
Nash might have developed his mental "nutcracker" approach in high school in West Virginia. Maybe it was during his Bachelor of Science or his Master's degree. Reaching beyond the stratosphere of man's knowledge on an intellectual scaffolding is like building a tall structure out of balsa wood. Bodily climbing such a weak structure is dangerous. Psychically it is apt to induce bad dreams...paranoia. Doing such a climb without female protection is likely to breakdown the cellular structure of the brain...schizophrenia. Karmically there is a heavy price to pay for ignoring the warnings of the female and violating sacred principle.
Forcibly opening the psychic senses is a recipe for psychic manipulation by the lower astral entities. Those Nash saw were probably disincarnate souls and elementals. The little girl was probably an elemental. As he has continued through his life to this present time to see these "imaginary" creatures of the mind, his psychic senses are still open and he has been an open door to negative manipulation which would affect those in his environs-especially his students in the mathematics department. He is an open conduit of cunning influences. Such a "rotten apple" could ruin the whole academic "barrel" at Princeton and bring into being that which he most fears...Big Brother.
The chip under the skin of his arm he saw in one schizophrenic episode is exactly what disincarnate souls would like instituted on earth to reduce any possibility of human consciousness rising spiritually. Chips being used on cattle (in lieu of branding) if used on people could magnetically disrupt higher sensory awareness which is the route to the higher self. The events of September 11 are "necessitating" the use of chips to improve national security especially at airports. Should such a program be put into practise on convicted criminals and cause a huge reduction in the crime rate then the benefits of placing chips in everyones' body may seem necessary to control all uncivilized behaviour which may include higher spirituality.
The movie appears to be a story of a man overcoming his limitations, but it could work on the level of allegory considering that there is an astral psychic basis for schizophrenia.
In the Nobel speech, Nash admitted that love was the one important principle that he had been searching for all of his life as the camera showed his wife in the audience crying.
