I just wanted to share some more of the fabulous insights I've been getting about the creative process, and the whole matter of having a voice and opportunity to express oneself.
Basically, it's what life's all about: to be expressive of the self and the experience of life in whatever way possible.
By speaking, writing, making music, noise, dance, art, sculpture, play; by performing, acting, singing, banging drums, painting your home or decorating your car; by the clothes you wear, the political statement you make, the blog you have for people to see, you are fulfilling your life.
And that's what I've been doing with this blog, and will continue to do.
The Artist's Way, to me, has been such a phenomenally important thing. Just getting my juices flowing again has been fabulous. Doing bodychoir, art, playing wherever I've been playing has been so excellent, just as all the work I've done in therapy and everything else.
I KNOW that I'm really on to something absolutely brilliant and terribly, terribly important. The entire healing nature of simply being who I am and doing it in a shame-free way has been the thing that's revitalized my life immensely.
Marvellous. Wonderful. Excellent. Fabulous.
I am ME and I'm OK with who I am and what I do.
And there's more to come.
