It never ceases to amaze me how infantile the mainstream American media is, that pixillates a woman's nipples, a person's "butt crack", and anyone's genitals; that bleeps out words like "shit", and finds it difficult to use the word "vagina", yet shows graphic killing, the most appalling murders in movies and films during daytime TV.
As an example, I'm watching the movie Apocalypse Now, being shown on cable TV, and I can see dead bodies hanging from wires, talk of children's arms being amputated and left in a pile; I can see a man's decapitated head thrown onto another man's lap, a man being hacked to death with a machete, the real life film of a cow being slaughtered with machetes, and countless, countless deaths with blood and guts being spewed everywhere, yet the word "shit" has been bleeped out, a woman's breasts have been photographically put into shadow (instead of pixillating) and nipples are pixillated. I've even seen women's nipples pixiallated in a documentary about an African tribe.
What's wrong with the American sexuality on its mainstream media? Is it any wonder that the country is so violent, considering its bizarre sexuality? Is it any wonder that Wilhelm Reich was banned during the McCarthy era?
I sincerely believe that the moral suppression of a nation's sexuality controls them more fundamentally than anything else. By making sex taboo, and the enjoyment of one's body something to be ashamed of, the government controls the people more effectively than anything else.
