Moving portraits.

My last entry has got me thinking on to further things.

If I'm doing videos to impress, or be seen as "something" somehow, why don't I do a video of nothingness? I mean, just of me standing, fairly motionless or something?

I mean, there's such a demand for videos where people DO stuff. Why not ones where people are just sitting, saying or doing very little, or nothing?

We have portraits, after all. Nothing gets said in a portrait - at least not in words. Yet our body language, posture and so on do say things about us. So why not do moving portraits!

That's what I'm going to do - moving portraits of people, on video.

Starting with myself!

Maybe I'll say something. Maybe not. The important thing is that I'll just be there, regardless of anything.

Five minutes should do it. I figure five minutes of just being there will give people long enough to look at my face, the way it moves, any subconscious stuff going on, mannerisms and so on. It's allowing myself to be stared at, in fact. Vanity, narcissism, you could call it any number of things. I'll just call it a moving self portrait.
